Green Tea Ice Cream recipe

It's not really that difficult to make the Green tea ice cream at home, you'll just need a few ingredients to help you on your way.

Green Tea Ice Cream - Ingredients:

  • » 1 tbsp Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • » 3/4 cup whipped Heavy Cream
  • » 3/4 cup Milk
  • » 2 Egg Yolks
  • » 5 tbsp Sugar
  • » 3 tbsp Hot Water

Green Tea Ice Cream - Preparation:

  1. Step 1

Take a small dish and mix the hot water and the Green tea powder together and keep it aside. Next, take a pan and lightly whisk the egg yolks together.

  2. Step 2

Add the sugar to the lightly whisked egg yolks, gradually adding in the milk as well. Next, place the pan on the stove on a low heat setting. Stir the sugar, egg yolk and milk mixture constantly to avoid it sticking to the pan.

  3. Step 3

Into a dish or bowl large enough to hold the pan pour in some ice water. When the mixture has thickened, take the pan off the fire, and place the pan into the dish with the ice water. This is to cool the thickened sugar mixture.

  4. Step 4

Next, add the Green tea to this mixture and stir well. Remember to keep the pan still in the cold water. You can now add the whipped Heavy cream to this and mix it in well.

  5. Step 5

If you have an ice cream maker, then pour this Green tea mixture into it and freeze. If not, then pour into a container and freeze, but you will need to remember to stir the ice cream a few times.
